According to Deadline, Peter Berg—creator of the incredible Friday Night Lights series—has established a new production company Film 45, and a Rihanna documentary is first on its docket. The Santa Monica-based non-fiction production company will be loosely basing the Rihanna doc off of the famous 1967 Bob Dylan film Don't Look Back. Berg has directed RiRi before (in Battleship), but the as-yet-untitled picture sounds infinitely subtler than their previous collaboration. Film 45 tells Deadline the film will be "an unfiltered look into Rihanna's life and how she's ascended to become a global icon...much more a character study than a music film."
