Big news for Kendrick Lamar: Billboard reports that he nabbed the #1 album on the Billboard 200 albums chart for the first time in his career with his new album, To Pimp A Butterfly. The record sold 324,000 copies in its first week (363,000 counting streams); it's the second-largest opening week for 2015, behind Drake's If You're Reading This It's Too Late. If you're keeping track, too, you'll note that To Pimp A Butterfly is the third record in 2015 from a rapper to top the charts, following Drake and Big Sean's Dark Sky Paradise. Pretty good year for rap!
