Hear A Snippet Of Charli XCX And SOPHIE’s Bouncy Collaboration
These two were made for each other.
Charli XCX makes no secret of her love for London's hyper-pop PC Music crew. Earlier this year, she gave them an excited shout out on the Grammys red carpet and told i-D that she was looking forward to working with SOPHIE; this week, Hannah Diamond also confirmed in an interview with BBC Radio 1 that the popstar had been working on new music with the collective. Today, Charli has dropped the first big hint at what's to come from all this, by tweeting a snippet from a recent SOPHIE set along with the caption "XCX X [SOPHIE] FUTURE/SOON." The clip sounds like the closest SOPHIE has ever come to a slow jam, with low-riding bass offset by latex squeaks, while Charli wraps the listener round her little finger with taunting playground lines like vroom vroom, bitches know they can't catch me.
