Boldy James Dines Out In “Toast to the Kings” Video
The Detroit rapper is dressed to the nines and eating like, yes, royalty.
Earlier this year Detroit rapper Boldy James connected the dots between his early days and his present with the release of Trapper's Alley 2: Risk vs Reward, a sequel to 2011 debut mixtape. "Toast to the Kings" is a recounting of the ground he's covered in those in-between years, and the accompanying video, which premieres today on The FADER, finds him and collaborators Red Handed and Kevo Hendricks cashing in—dressed to the nines and eating out like, yes, royalty.
"'Toast to the Kings' was a dedication to all the real certified street niggas worldwide who do whatever it takes to feed their families without having to compromise the safety or wellbeing of their loved ones," Boldy told The FADER. "This is also a celebration for all the stand up individuals who never rolled over on the rest of the family no matter how much adversity they were faced with. One love to everybody that's facing trying times who hold their heads high and never let people see 'em sweat. Those are the guys I salute, tip my hat and raise my glass to. Cheers to all underworld royalty, d boys, and ConCreatures."
