Last month, a Rich Homie Quan track, titled "I Made It," that seemed to describe rape in explicit detail, leaked to the internet. After the incident, the rapper issued a statement declaring, "I would never condone rape." When he was asked about the track on Power 105's The Breakfast Club, he side-stepped the question. "That was blown out of proportion," he said. "If you listen, it’s just good music." Last week he told FADER, "That's not the type of person I am, that's not the type of person I want people to see me as... I was young at the time. People make mistakes. It wasn't just [the wrong context], I said the wrong thing."
Despite this, another track surfaced today about rape. This one actually uses the word in its hook: chances ain’t shit if you don’t take one/ Mansion full of bitches, about to rape one. A request for comment from Rich Homie Quan was not immediately returned.
