Sony Music CEO Confirms Apple Will Launch Their Streaming Service On Monday

As VentureBeat reports, Sony Music CEO Doug Morris confirmed during an interview at the Midem Music Industry Festival in Cannes that Apple would be announcing their new streaming service on Monday, June 8, at its World Wide Developers Conference. Morris called the service a "tipping point" for the industry.

"A rising tide will lift all boats," Morris said, underscoring that he thinks Apple's service will accelerate a consumer shift toward streaming. "It's the beginning of an amazing moment for our industry." That sounds familiar.
