The Pharrell-curated soundtrack to Dope is now available for streaming. Pharrell—who also served as an executive producer on the movie—mainly sticks to early ‘90s hip-hop here, including tracks from Nas, Tribe Called Quest, Digable Planets and Public Enemy. The songs credited to Awreeoh were composed by Pharrell specifically for the movie. (He also sneaks in one of his own rap productions, Kap G’s “Cocaina Shorty.”) The biggest outlier is Gil Scott-Heron’s quietly devastating “Home Is Where The Hatred Is.”
