Back in 2013, Washington Township High School’s Cierra Bosarge reached out to J. Cole via letter hoping she could convince him to come to her high school graduation. The rapper not only took the time to respond, he accepted her invitation, writing "I will be at your graduation." But he added a caveat: "only IF you get into a 4 year University."
The two kept in touch via Twitter:
And when Bosarge got into several colleges this year, Cole stayed true to his word. Apparently he even changed his tour route so that he could make the ceremony.
@princess_simba i'm happy it all worked out for you. Had to route the tour around your graduation lol. You deserved it now keeping it going.

To top it all off, Cole bought Bosarge some books and said he might help her with tuition.
No word yet on what Cole's favorite books are. Watch the MC on FADER TV below.
