New Rick Owens For Adidas Is Predictably Badass

The latest iteration of Rick Owens' signature take on avant-garde sportswear for Adidas is here, and the new batch of shoes is pretty immaculate. The aesthetic is something out of a dusty dystopian hellscape: clay red, utilitarian black, dismantled military green. The shoes are hyper-functional: nylon and neoprene are the primary materials, and the Superstar Ripple Boots have a versatile "lay-down" feature that gathers fabric about the ankles. The strange, covetable shoes won't drop until February 2016, but it's comforting to know that if society has collapsed by then, you're set for footwear.
