If you've been sleeping on the sunny French label Jacquemus, now is a good time to stop. The line of summery separates with unconventional silhouettes has a coterie of loyal fans, but now we can officially add Miley Cyrus to the roster. In a 2013 interview with The FADER, Simon Jacquemus described "the Jacquemus girl": "For me, in a way, my clothes are always a part of my mother– a very raw girl. The kind of girl who can wear her father's suit. She's kind of boyish, but at the same time she's a girl." With Miley, he just may have found her.
In the new issue of V Magazine, Cyrus pens a fawning letter to the designer. Cyrus writes, "Simon Jacquemus’s Instagram, on which we met, is a clear reflection of his collections, which are ultra-modern and abstract while still telling a relatable story. Even this Dirty Hippie fell for the clean simplicity and what seems like sacred geometry that is Jacquemus." They still haven't met in person, Cyrus says, but she treasures their "cyber-relationship."
