The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that police arrested Young Thug (real name, Jefferey Lamar Williams) this morning in Sandy Springs, GA. Jim Joyner, a spokesman for the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, said in a statement that "[Thug] was wanted on an outstanding warrant charging him with terroristic threats stemming from an incident that occurred with the jurisdiction of the Dunwoody police."
According to documents provided to The FADER by the Dunwoody Police Department, the terroristic threat Thug is being accused of is threatening to shoot a mall police officer in the face at the Perimeter Mall in Atlanta on July 7th. The warrant for Thug's arrest says that he allegedly made the threats after being escorted out of the mall by security.
The AJC did report that the arrest took place "without incident," and while Joyner confirmed that fact to The FADER, he also added that the rapper might be facing "additional charges," declining to add any additional details.
