Damon Albarn recently made headlines for refusing to leave a festival stage in Denmark at 4 AM and being unceremoniously carried off by a man roughly twice his size. Most performers don’t have enough music for five hours, but Albarn’s been prolific in a number of projects. It looks like more material is on the way: the singer recently told Australian TV, “I’m starting recording in September for a new Gorillaz record. I’ve just been really, really busy so I haven’t had a chance. I’d love to just get back into that routine of being at home and coming to the studio five days a week.” This corroborates an Instagram announcement made earlier this year by Gorillaz' other member, Jamie Hewlett.
Gorillaz have released four albums to date. The last, The Fall, came out in 2011. Watch Snoop Dogg and Albarn perform “Clint Eastwood” on FADER TV.
