Earlier this week, OG Maco earned headlines when he declared that Future "has destroyed countless lives by making it cool to be a drug addict." The situation escalated quickly, as Maco engaged via Twitter with those who disputed his comments. Someone retaliated by buying OGMaco.com and putting a big smiling picture of Future on it.
Not long after Maco's statement, Future said in an interview with the Huffington Post that the young MC needed to talk to him in person. The two chatted on the phone the same day, and suddenly everything was back to normal. "We just had a real nigga conversation," Maco Tweeted. "The media and hate will turn positives into negatives if you let em. No more ?s."
Today Future released his third album, DS2, and Maco responded by releasing a track "from the vaults" that pays homage to the older rapper. On SoundCloud, Maco also wrote, "Its obvious who my inspiration was for it. Go get that #DS2 !!!" "Sposed" is a tough, low-slung tune. Maco channels Future's cadence and the rawest parts of his vocal tone. Listen below.
