In a series of tweets this morning, Joey Bada$$ announced that he still supports Bill Cosby despite the massive amount of evidence suggesting that the comedian repeatedly drugged and raped women. "Im not gonna let the media brainwash me into hating one of my childhood BLACK heroes," the rapper wrote. "Fuck yall." Bada$$ suggested that the media is to blame for the current situation: "You internet kids know NOTHING except what they put in front of you on these devices." "Every media site can start slandering anyone at any moment with some half ass story," he continued, "and you guys will fucking believe it... The media rapes, brainwash, kill and humiliate more people than anyone on this planet."
Cosby has had many high-profile defenders in the last few months, but most of them have now changed their mind and acknowledged his guilt. The latest to do so was Whoopi Goldberg, who said last week that "all of the information that's out there kind of points to guilt." Read Bada$$'s tweets below.
