How many times have you considered an item while shopping before noticing the extra pleats, the logo splayed across the back, that inexplicable mesh panel, or some other garish detail that forces you to move on while wishing clothing lines would stop showing off for once? Nike's new Blue Label line represents a return to the hyper-minimalist forms that defined sportswear before the '80s' explosion of enthusiasm and colorful spandex. Simple shapes—a cotton longsleeve, a gathered ankle sweatpant—are available in somber colors: navy, grey, black, white. They're all conspicuously emblazoned with the trademark swoosh. The collection is currently available at UK webshop size?, but they ship to the US—for a price.
