Fetty Wap has three crossover rap hits, a remarkable accomplishment for an artist who was barely-known a year ago. Despite his success, there was no news about a debut album from the young MC until today. In an interview with AP, the rapper casually announced that the full-length is scheduled to come out September 25. "I'm just waiting for it to get mixed and mastered," he said. "My album been done for like two months now." Fetty's label boss, Lyor Cohen, justified the cautious timeline by noting, "Our industry is lacking on a wholesale level of artist development."
The usually-quiet Fetty Wap has been in a sharing mood lately: he also revealed that he's got something in the works with Drake.
