Earlier this year, the Texas-bred, self-proclaimed "All American Boyband" Brockhampton took the top prize—a VFILES-produced music video and a deal with Fool's Gold to release their first single—at VFILES' talent competition, VFILES LOUD. Today they deliver that (typically-cheeky) VFILES video for their single "Dirt," and it seems they have perhaps let that win go to their head.
"Working with and directing seven all American boy band divas has been the hardest thing I've ever done—they were picky, they sold out," director Tyler Mitchell attested in an email to The FADER, "so I filmed them during their first photo shoot and here’s how it came out." The guys themselves didn't disagree, adding: "This is what happens when you sell out.”
But the thing is, the whole affair looks like a ton of fun. Like, if this—wilding with your besties on someone else's budget—is selling out, we want in. Check out the video above; download "Dirt" here.
