Ty Dolla $ign Announces New Mixtape, Shares “Airplane Mode”

Ty Dolla $ign plans to a release a surprise mixtape tomorrow titled Airplane Mode. Though Ty is usually a proponent of hedonistic pleasure, the cover of his new tape looks like a variation on Drake's Take Care artwork: the singer sits surrounded by women in various states of undress, but he stares at the floor, looking downcast.

Ty also shared the new project's title track, and the tune matches the isolated feel of the cover: these days gotta keep my phone on airplane phone to dodge these hoes. The singer's long-awaited major-label debut, Free TC, is still slated to appear on November 13. Revisit his FADER cover story.
