Rick Ross has been active on the remix circuit this year. Over the summer, the MC jumped on Khaotic's "Dime Piece;" more recently, he appeared on Post Malone's "White Iverson." But he's especially determined to channel Future's anesthetized hedonism—he already added a verse to "Fuck Up Some Commas," and he returned today rapping on the DS2 track "Stick Talk."
"Stick Talk" is classic Future, basically a rock ballad dressed up as hip-hop. The MC's observations blurt out in a hoarse rush: I can't believe the blood ain't on my shirt, because he got hit close-range. Ross presents himself as more of a puppet-master: Send a boy a bottle, whack him when the club over/ You fucking with the mob, I'm richer than the club owner. Listen below.
