For an artist to be truly ubiquitous, genre-hopping is crucial. Future has showed up on nearly every rapper's song in 2015, but recently he ventured further by jumping on a track from the Puerto Rican reggaeton star Yandel. Initially the thick gurgle of synthesizers makes "Mi Combo" seem like another yet another one of this year's '80s-indebted pop cuts, but then the rhythm kicks in. Yandel provides a gluey hook, and Future sounds inspired working with a different sort of beat.
