"The Less I Know The Better" is jangly disco: the rhythm section lays down a crisp groove; Kevin Parker's falsetto and a liquid guitar fly above the beat. The song's narrator is love-lorn, petulant, and inept at romance. At the end he breaks down in frustration. Is this what you want, is this who you are? Tame Impala's clip for the song revolves around a basketball player who falls in love with a cheerleader. Unfortunately for the protagonist, she soon transfers her affections to the team's mascot, who wears a gorilla costume. The video is directed by Canada; watch above.
