"Blasé," Ty Dolla $ign's collaboration with Future and Rae Sremmurd, is currently No. 20 and climbing on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. "As soon as I played the whole album for everybody at Atlantic," the singer told Rolling Stone, "they were like, 'Blasé,' that shit's fucking dope. Every time I play it, there's mosh pits and shit, people getting beat up. I don't want people to get hurt—the energy of that song makes people want to fucking go crazy. When I perform it, I feel like some Bad Brains shit, new black punk."
The singer gave his track some extra juice today by sharing a pair of star-studded remixes. One features additional verses from Diddy, Juicy J, and Jeezy. (In the past, Ty appeared on "You Could Be My Lover," a highly of Diddy's MMM tape; the singer also collaborated with Juicy J on the memorable "Ratchet In My Benz," from Beach House 2.) The other remix incorporates T.I., A$AP Ferg, and French Montana.
Ty revises his own lyrics in the Diddy/Juicy J/Jeezy version to account for the recent release of Free TC: Long dreads with the braids, sawed-off 12 gauge/ Feel like Babyface Nelson, just did a song with Babyface. He also dives into politics, declaring I don't fuck with Donald Trump.
