Jessy Lanza debuted in 2013 with Pull My Hair Back. After two 2015 side projects—one with Morgan Geist and another with DJ Spinn and Taso—she returned today with new solo material. But her work with those musicians, who make club-friendly tracks, appears to have encouraged her to explore faster tempos: "It Means I Love You" is slight and speedy.
According to a press release, Oh No is inspired by Lanza's "constant nervousness." It came together with help from Jeremy Greenspan (of Junior Boys) and well-chosen flora: "I became obsessed with surrounding myself with tropical plants," Lanza explains. "I've been convinced that the air quality in our house is slowly killing us. It might sound crazy but the plants have made a huge difference." Check out the tracklist and tour dates below. Oh No arrives May 13.
