Rockabilly rapper/singer Giovanni James employs a spare blues-rock lick and stern delivery to hammer home his message on "Shame On You," his latest single to be given the visual treatment.
While he wails Shame on you for doing the things you do like he means it, he has refused to name the exact object of his disgust. "Plenty of people in the world need shaming right now," he explained in an email to The FADER. "I have my personal reasons for writing it, but would rather let the listeners' own life narratives dictate the meaning for them. That's the beauty of art—it has the ability to be interpreted on many levels depending on how it hits you."
