Canadians dominated American pop in 2015. Justin Bieber released an album that spawned three No. 1's, The Weeknd had a pair of his own top hits, Drake had the ubiquitous "Hotline Bling," and Alessia Cara's debut single went all the way to No. 5. If you listen to pop radio, you would have heard a lot of Shawn Mendes' "Stitches." So it's no surprise to see these names multiple times in the Canadian Music Awards nominations, which came out yesterday. Drake, the Weeknd, and Bieber will go head to head for Artist Of The Year, Album Of The Year, and Single Of The Year. Cara was also nominated for Single Of The Year and Breakthrough Artist.
