Mayer Hawthorne's "Cosmic Love" Is A Classic Whodunnit

Retro soul singer Mayer Hawthorne puts on his private eye's cap in the new video for "Cosmic Love," a sweet and easy single off a new album that is expected to arrive sometime this spring. The first installment of a three video suite, it opens with Hawthorne under the spell of a lounge singer and ends with him unconscious on the floor. Who dunnit?

"I love films. I wanted to do something bigger than a music video," he explained in a note to The FADER. "I don't think any music artist has done a multi-part, neo-noir, detective thriller before, so that's exciting for me."
