The Trp are working towards the release of a new project, a concept LP that will be inspired by minerals, gems, and crystals. Each track, the Incognito trio explained to The FADER, "is inspired by a different one, so when you listen and close your eyes, we want people to feel like they’ve been teleported to an another planet." For example: "in one song they’re dancing in a giant crystal cave made of opal. In another song they’re having sex on a sunset beach with gigantic fluorite emitting from the sand." Got it?
To give you a better idea of what they are going for, The Trp have shared a new single called "System." A pean for "a powerful, independent, beautiful woman," its a sprawl of spacy synths, bird chirps, clamoring drum kits, and sexual awakenings like This sage won't burn all night, but these moments will be timeless.
Or, as The Trp described the experience of listening: "With this song we want people to feel like they’re bathing in euphoric liquid sunshine, inside a glass room with a new lover."
