Toronto’s ÈBONY Drop “Against All Odds”

ÈBONY are Jordan Gardner and Sylvermayne, a pair of Toronto producers who together make floor-rattling hybrids of house and techno. Their latest track “Against All Odds,” premiered with XLR8R, is built on a tumbling, goat skin beat, pleading vocals and gently rationed piano stabs. It sits restfully through its seven minute run time as progressions slowly reveal themselves and disappear again into the song's bedrock, each one a slight diversion on the song's soulful meditation.
