Billboard reports that Drake’s “One Dance” moved into the top spot on this week’s Hot 100, dethroning Desiigner’s “Panda.” “One Dance” is Drake’s very first No. 1 as a lead artist—he’s reached the spot twice before as a featured artist on Rihanna singles. Drake came close No. 1 twice before: “Hotline Bling” reached No. 2 last year, as did “Best I Ever Had” in 2009.
“One Dance” appears on Drake’s latest album, VIEWS. The full-length recently set a new streaming record and gave the rapper his best sales week to date. According to Billboard, the album helped Drake set another record as well—he has 20 songs in the Hot 100 at the same time, easily eclipsing the previous high-water mark of 17, which was set by Justin Bieber last year. "Pop Style," "Hype," "Controlla," "Grammys," and "Still Here" are all in the top 40. Over the course of his career, Drake has now landed on the Hot 100 with 123 separate songs (accounting solo releases and features).
