Flying Lotus Is Making Movies With The Salad Fingers Guy Thanks To This Thom Yorke GIF
Brainfeeder’s film division is a reality thanks to the internet.
Flying Lotus's Brainfeeder record label will now produce films, starting with the short film Royal, the directorial debut of FLyLo himself, which will have its premiere in August at the 2016 Sundance NEXT Fest in Los Angeles. These exciting new ventures are all thanks to a humorous, surreal GIF that imagines a conversation between a petulant Thom Yorke and an exhausted Flying Lotus after a marathon DJ set. "I was fixated on this for a whole day and thought. Shit. I can make stuff like that," Flying Lotus tweeted today.
One of the first directors who will release with Brainfeeder's film division is David Firth, the creator of Salad Fingers. "[He] started teaching me animation. So he was the first person I signed," Flying Lotus said on Twitter.
