Drake and Future's Summer Sixteen Tour headed to New York City tonight for a performance at Madison Square Garden. During his set, Drake performed a freestyle with a few sharp lines directed at local radio station Hot 97. Fuck Hot 97, he rapped. Fire Funk Flex and then I'll do your show.
Yesterday, Hot 97 host Ebro Darden claimed that Drake told him he was ready to diss Eminem should the Detroit rapper cast the first stone. Ebro later tweeted that the whole situation had been a joke. Last year, Funkmaster Flex became involved in Drake's beef with Meek Mill, leaking several reference tracks for Drake songs.
Funk Flex responded to the Drake's in a tweet, writing "Hahahaha!!! 7pm Sat I got a story to tell! @Drake u gonna learn!"
Representatives for Drake and Hot 97 were not immediately available for comment.
Hahahaha!!! 7pm Sat I got a story to tell! @Drake u gonna learn! #NYC @HOT97
