Kanye West's self-directed video for "Famous" has spurred many responses, ranging from amused to outraged. It seems like everyone had something to say about the controversial visual, including Chris Brown, Ray J, George W. Bush, and of course, Taylor Swift. Earlier today, The Daily Beast enlisted German experimental filmmaker Werner Herzog to watch the 10-minute clip for the first time and analyze it.

Herzog was immediately taken by the Pablo visual, questioning, "All the persons that you see in this visual, are they real? Is it a real Donald Trump or is a fake Donald Trump?" After being assured the characters represented were not real, Herzog comments, "That's an interesting thing the internet can create: dopplegangers." Herzog then continues to laud Kanye for his storytelling abilities. Watch the entire commentary below.
