Jhené Aiko Shares Rough Demo, “New Balance”

Last time we heard from Jhené Aiko, she was one-half of TWENTY88, a collaborative project with Big Sean. The two released an EP and short film together, with no further promise of another release on the way. Now the singer-songwriter is on The High Road Tour with Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa.

Today, Aiko dropped a rough demo of a new song called, "New Balance." During the simple and sorrowful ballad, Jhené expresses finding clarity in her lover: Then there's you/ You bring silence to my violent truth/ You're my salvage, you're my balance.

In response to the track, a Twitter fan gushed, "@JheneAiko wrote @BigSean the most beautiful love song," Jhené didn't deny the claim, but merely retweeted it with some additional heart emojis. Listen below.
