Earlier this week, MTV confirmed that Kanye West would be in attendance at the 2016 MTV VMAs, and it was reported that the rapper and designer would have four minutes to do as he pleases at the show. Given his colorful VMA history, many wondered how Kanye would be occupying the time.
Tonight, Kanye premiered his new, '80s-inspired video for "Fade," a track from The Life of Pablo, during the award show. The visual is directed by Kanye and Eli Linnetz, who also directed the "Famous" video. The "Fade" video features Teyana Taylor doing a dance routine in a gym, and a sensual shower scene with her husband, Iman Shumpert. At the end of the video, Taylor's face morphs into the head of a cat, and she and Shumpert pose with a newborn baby while surrounded by lambs.
"Fade" features additional vocals from Ty Dolla $ign and Post Malone, as well as samples from house tracks by Mr. Fingers, Hardrive, and Barbara Tucker. Watch the "Fade" video above via TIDAL and find the full credits for the video below.
