Amoeba Music in Berkley, California have some potentially groundbreaking changes coming to the business, despite announcing in mid-September that the location will be closing in the next few years to make way for a skyscraper. FACT has reported that the record store has been granted a license to open an in-store marijuana dispensary.
Amoeba employee Debby Goldsberry announced the news on Facebook, and celebrated the company's plans to open "the most epic dispensary ever." The marijuana outlet will be housed in the store's jazz room, and will accompany the store's existing medical marijuana doctor's office, so interested parties can get a prescription and their medicine in one place.
