Grime Finally Has Its Own Section In The U.K. iTunes Store
You can find it via the hip-hop genre page.
Artists releasing grime music have never had their own section on the iTunes homepage, with their songs and albums having to be awkwardly lumped into rap and electronic categories. However, Apple rolled out a new page for the genre overnight on their U.K. store. The section lives within the Hip-Hop/Rap genre page and while some grime MCs might dispute the links between their music and hip-hop, it's a start right now.
Visitors to the grime section can browse the latest releases from Stormzy, Capo Lee, and Chip alongside classic albums like Dizzee Rascal's Boy In Da Corner. There's also a spotlight on the producers behind the MCs, as well as selected highlights from the Lord Of The Mics catalog. Users with access to U.K. iTunes can access the section now.
