In the immediate aftermath of a significant relationship, humans often reject waking life in favor of a tragic mental highlight reel of everything we miss about the person who's gone. In the new music video for "I Get It Now," Fjord soundtrack an example of this kind of toxic montage with spacious, The xx-indebted moodiness.
"The video was a really collaborative process," the Quebec City duo told The FADER over email, referring to the video's director Nicolas Brassard Asselin. "We sat down and planned every step. Our idea was to make a video that quite literally embodied the themes in the song. Complexities in relationships; love, lust, loss and things left unsaid." Fjord's debut album Textures is out now.
