Bob Dylan has become the first ever musician to be awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature. The news was announced this morning via a press release. Dylan beats out the frontrunners Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o, Haruki Murakami, and Don DeLillo, to take home the trophy. Previous winners of the Nobel Prize in Literature include Toni Morrison, Samuel Beckett, Alice Munro, and Jean-Paul Sartre.
