22-year-old R&B singer Stanaj released his radio-ready EP The Preview in August, and today he delivers a video for the heartbreaking "Ain't Love Strange." In the video, Stanaj and a lover float in mid-air, lay across rainbow shattered glass, and collapse in the rain. The singer's powerful voice is on full display here and never falters through any of the elements. It's all very dramatic, but so is love — especially when it's over.
In an email to The FADER, Stanaj explained the video's supernatural tone. "'Ain’t Love Strange' is about the crazy effect of love," he said. "I wanted the video to represent the way love defies the natural laws of nature — how it resists physics and takes people to uncharted places."
