In September, Spotify released their global and U.S. lists of the Top 10 Songs of the Summer. To no surprise, Drake's name was all over each list, and "One Dance" ranked No. 1 in streams across the board. As Pitchfork points out, Spotify has announced that the VIEWS single had become its most streamed song of all-time, racking up over 880 million plays. Previously, Major Lazer's "Lean On" held the title of Spotify's most-streamed song with 526 million global plays.
Drake's VIEWS album broke many streaming records, accruing over 245 million streams in its first week. Drake became Spotify's most-streamed artist last May. "One Dance" recently got an unorthodox video treatment as part of Drake's Please Forgive Me short film.
