Let Elliot Moss’s New Video Take You On An Emotional Journey Through Dance
Watch the beautifully choreographed “Without The Lights” video.
The video for singer-songwriter Elliot Moss's new song "Without The Lights" is a powerful look at the damage domestic abuse can do to a person. The single is a new track from the New York-based artist, and his first new material since 2014 album Highspeeds.
Directed and choreographed by Phillp Chbeeb, the visuals feature Erica Klein as a woman whose self-worth is vanishing as she is trapped in an abusive relationship. We enter her inner emotional world and discover darkness both literally, with the use of black paint, and at the hands of her abusive partner. Together they portray her feeling of entrapment and helplessness through captivating and expressive dance moves. It's a stark and emotional watch and one aided by Moss's soaring electronic soundscape.
Speaking to The FADER via email, Moss says, "One person, or a singular experience, can alter how the rest of the world feels to us. This song, for me, is about being confronted with a reality wherein we are forced to see our circumstances for what they truly are."
