Spotify has announced that The Weeknd has broken the record for most streams in a day for a single artist on the platform, following the release of his Starboy album. All 18 songs from the album are on Spotify's Global Top 50 chart and the album's title track is at the top of the list with over 4 million streams. Though Spotify has not specified the number of streams accrued or the previous record number, Musically estimates that the songs on the album racked up 32.8 million streams in a day.
