Little Simz has stayed firmly on our radar this year but it looks like 2017 is going to be an even bigger year for the U.K. MC. She has announced plans today, November 30, for her own mini-festival, as well as an upcoming comic book. All of this is in addition to a second album, titled Stillness In Wonderland that is dropping before the end of the year.
The live event will take place as part of London venue The Roundehouse's Rising Festival in February. Simz and an array of guests will take over the main space of the north London venue for Welcome To Wonderland: The Experience. Names of the other artists on the bill are TBC but Simz has promised friends from around the world will join her on the day.
The special event is scheduled for February 12 and will showcase emerging visual and musical talent through an art exhibit and pop-up Satellite Stage. There will also be a performance from Simz of Stillness In Wonderland, due for release before the year is over.
In addition to the London date and album release, Simz also announced today that she is releasing a comic book. Welcome To Wonderland is written by Eddie 'Versetti' Smith and features illustrations from McKay Felt. A release date remains TBC.
