"Try," a new song by Brooklyn musician Richie Quake, sounds like it was recorded in those moments of clarity as your inebriation peaks and the sun rises. The track's R&B is dimly lit with streaks of neon synths and huge kicks drums, evoking a fashionable basement party where Quake's softly spun vocal melodies somehow cut through the bustle.

"'Try' is about the complexities of love," Quake told The FADER over email. "Even though being in love is beautiful, it doesn't make everything perfect. It's not always easy to make changes in your life, especially when it means losing someone that you care for so intensely. But change is necessary for growth, and I have a lot of living to do before I die."
