For the holidays this year, FADER staffers didn't ask for much. Some of us requested expensive things we'd rather not get for ourselves, but for the most part we kept it pretty simple and listed things we'll get the most out of or consistently wear. Check out our wish list below.
1. Some peace of mind spray
"Being an adult is hard. All I want for the holidays/ 2017/ the rest of my life is peace of mind. This seems like a good place to start." —Jason Parham
2. Some damn good reads
"For Chrismukkah this year, I want some damn books. Specifically, I want this beautiful book about the artist Tom of Finland's house in L.A. because it looks really hot. I would also be really happy if I got Lucky Peach's vegetable cookbook." — Myles Tanzer
5. A chic space heater
"My apartment can get very cold. I want this very chic, noiseless Dyson space heater to warm me without accosting my eyes or ears." — Leah Mandel
6. A bottle of sloe gin
"I don't know about you, but I need a drink — and nothing says Christmas to this Brit like the sweet yet sharp tang of sloe gin. Basically they stuff a shitload of sloe berries into gin and let it steep for ages. Serve over ice and feel your cheeks turn as pink as the liquor." — Ruth Saxelby
7. Maroon 5, Songs About Jane LP
"What's better than playing one of the greatest albums of all time during the holidays? Playing it on vinyl." —Scott Perry
8. A case of vintage lemon-lime seltzer water
"Seltzer is my beverage of choice, and whenever I have a bottle of it I finish it the same day. What I really need is a case (or three) of Vintage Lemon-Lime so I don't need to get seltzer every time I go to the grocery store." — Leah Mandel
9. Lucky Sheep™ Wool sleeping bag
"Pretty sure I’m going to end up sleeping in a ditch at some point next year and when that day comes I would like to be as comfortable as possible." — Duncan Cooper
11. Cats against catcalling sweater
"Because men are trash and I prefer trash to not talk to me while I'm walking down the street, minding my business, or just existing in general. Also, because this sweater is cute as fuck and 10% of the profits go to feminist activists!" — Juliana Pache
12. A Google Pixel phone
"My phone is dying at 58% battery, so I'm ready for a new one." — Madison LaClair
13. ACS earplugs
"This year I watched a loved one go through the trauma of partly losing their hearing. It can happen to anyone, completely out of the blue. I can't imagine living in a world where I can't experience the music I love, so in 2017 I won't ever be going to a show without a pair of earplugs." — Aimee Cliff
14. BARRAGÁN's "Juegos Sexuales" tee
"Have you watched Cruel Intentions recently? Holds up. This extremely cool-looking shirt by BARRAGÁN pays tribute to its most iconic scene — a Central Park kiss between friends." — Patrick McDermott
15. Bond No. 9
"I've wanted this brand's cologne ever since hearing 2 Chainz say it was his favorite scent in "Good Drank." Never smelt it, but if its good enough for Tity Boi its good enough for me." — Ali Suliman
16. Baggu backpack
"If I actually want something, I buy it for myself. This year I got this Baggu backpack, which is mini enough to not fit a laptop, because I spend enough time with one already. It's on sale in pink." — Naomi Zeichner
17. A DVD of The Assassination Of Jesse James By the Coward Robert Ford and a DVD player
"Last week I rented The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford twice online. Both times, I failed to finish the movie (it's a long-ass movie) within the 24-hour rental window. If someone were to purchase me a DVD copy and a DVD player for me to play the DVD on, I would finally be able to finish the movie. Please. I would like to know what happens at the end." — Amos Barshad
18. A potato
"This potato." — Emily Keegin
19. Flamingo Measuring Spoons
"I always use an old Starbucks mug to measure ingredients. Maybe that's why my cakes never rise. But I feel like they would, and also I'd make way more of them, if only I had these flamingo-shaped measuring spoons." — Owen Myers
