On Monday night, Chance The Rapper shared a photo on Instagram of him and Donald Glover a.k.a Childish Gambino, with the caption "Hawaii then LA, back to work. #roscoeswetsuit." The post could be an indication that production on their collaborative project, which was announced in 2014, has resumed.
The meaning of "#roscoeswetsuit," a phrase Gambino prolifically retweeted in 2013, is still unclear. The words made a prominent appearance in a 75-page screenplay Glover wrote to accompany his sophomore album Because The Internet.
During a Reddit AMA in June 2016, Chance confirmed the mixtape's existence (In a 2014 freestyle on Hot 97, Gambino said the release was an EP, though it may have changed since then).
Chance The Rapper has released several collaborative projects with other artists: In late 2016 he dropped Merry Christmas Lil' Mama, a holiday album with Jeremih, and in 2015 we got Free Based Freestyles with Lil B.
Representatives for Chance The Rapper and Childish Gambino were not immediately available for comment.
