Rinse the memory of La La Land from your brain with "Moment 2 Moment," the new video/mini-musical from Toronto's Mozart's Sister. Caila Thompson-Hannant, one of the artists behind the glittering electronic pop you're hearing, stars as a bachelorette extremely pumped to be newly single. So she dances in a warehouse setting reminiscent of Flashdance, and her new digs: a film studio set. Unlike most song-and-dance pieces, the Jordan Minkoff-directed clip impresses while never taking itself too seriously. It's probably not too late to change your ballots, Oscar voters.
"'Moment 2 Moment' is about the excitement and trepidation felt at the beginning of a relationship," Thompson-Hannant told The FADER over email. "Romantic love felt as a fine line between ecstasy and pain mixed with the knowledge that it will all be okay. It is a song about a personal story but made to relate to any situation felt by anybody."
