Shia LaBeouf has taken his performance art piece titled "He Will Not Divide Us" offline after shots in the area were heard and reported to police. The project uses a webcam to stream 24/7 as people state "he will not divide us" in protest against Donald Trump. The installation was moved from New York to Albuquerque on February 18 following complaints from the Museum of Moving Image where it was located.

Earlier today, February 23, LaBeouf tweeted (see above) to share news of the decision. He added, "The safety of everybody participating in our project is paramount." Some Twitter users reported hearing shots nearby while others claim to have seen people with guns on the livestream. LaBeouf did not indicate whether the shutdown is temporary or permanent.

On February 20, the Albuquerque Journal reported that the webcam had been found spray-painted pink with the message, "Reject False Idols. Do it!"
