This week Snoop Dogg shared a video for new song "Lavender." In the video he is seen aiming a gun at a clown made up to look like Donald Trump. Senator Marco Rubio was the first to respond to the cartoon-ish video, telling TMZ that the visuals "shouldn't have" been made and that they could inspire an assassination attempt.
Now Trump himself has responded to Snoop. In a tweet sent early on Wednesday morning, Trump suggested that the rapper would have faced outrage if he'd done the same thing with an Obama lookalike. He also said Snoop has a "failing career" and ended with the phrase "jail time""
Can you imagine what the outcry would be if @SnoopDogg, failing career and all, had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama? Jail time!

Back in January 2016, a then-campaigning Trump told supporters at a rally how he could "shoot somebody" and not lose votes.
A representative for Snoop Dogg was not immediately available for comment.
