Kendrick Lamar has wiped his Instagram page clean, leaving a simple Roman numeral as the only image available. The "IV," 4 in numerology, was posted in the early hours of Thursday morning, March 23. There was no caption to accompany the post.
Fans are already speculating that the "IV" could be a reference to Lamar's next studio album, which would be his fourth release. Lamar's debut, Section.80 came out in 2011 and was followed by Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City and 2015's To Pimp A Butterfly.

Lamar spoke about his next project in a recent interview, describing the work as "urgent," and saying that his focus has shifted. “I think now, how wayward things have gone within the past few months, my focus is ultimately going back to my community and the other communities around the world where they’re doing the groundwork," he said.
